WHO WE ARE

Since day one, we’ve been working tirelessly in order to expand our national Fibershed through the personal financing and development of a custom batch fiber mill. We have two large McDermott carders and will be adding a third spinning line this summer. We seek to improve the economic return for all fiber producers and shepherds by offering fair trade luxury milling. We’re proud of how far we've come and we hope to raise others by fostering at-home rural businesses that knit, crochet, or produce fiber art for resale through the many avenues that will be more easily accessible to them with the increase in small batch fiber milling. We will also be offering our #SafeHarbor branded yarn from fleeces produced by our own sheep; the majority of which are rescues. Each yarn will be tagged with the name and breed of the sheep that produced it. They have come from Paradise, CA. Shady Cove, Oregon. Somerset, KY. Garden Prairie, IL. Lovettsville, VA. In 2024 we are expanding and will open our new location Lost Coast Spinnery in Humboldt, CA. We look forward to providing our value-added service to the golden state.
