FROM FARM TO YARN
When you shop locally you support small family farms and fiber artisans.
We are a boutique fiber mill processing wool, alpaca, llama, goat, and limited plant fibers into clouds, roving, batts, and yarn. We accept drop-offs at the mill by appointment only. We are here 7 days a week but ask for advance notice of your arrival. We accept appointments even on weekends. You are also welcome to ship your fiber directly to us just let us know it's coming and provide a tracking number so we can let you know when it arrives. Spinning orders are a 5 pound minimum (or see our processing sheet for more information for smaller lots). For faster response please text-it's difficult to hear over the machines. 502.370.8365
To see pictures of our most recent spinning check our social media on Facebook and Instagram. You can also find our limited-run yarns, hand dyed, spun by us, and from our flock of sheep. Check out our shop!

April 15 Shepherds Day hosted by the Kentucky Woolworks
LOOKING FOR AN AFFORDABLE AND FUN WAY TO SPEND A SPRING DAY while you gain some valuable knowledge and connections?
We begin at Last Move Farm close by Millersburg, KY for coffee and a light breakfast while observing how a variety of animals fit into this multi-pronged, symbiotic 50-acre farming endeavor that includes a variety of breeds of sheep as well as Thoroughbred horses (mares and foals) dairy goats and more.
Following a tour of the Kentucky Wool Works studios at Mustard Seed Hill in Millersburg where we will talk about the joys of creating with the wool your sheep produce and how to bolster your farm’s bottom line with value-added products, we will end the morning with a trip to nearby Final Frontier Farm, a larger-scale sheep farm focusing on raising market lambs. This farm provides an excellent opportunity to see not only cute and cuddly lambs, but also to witness the miracle of birth in real-time.
The afternoon session begins with lunch served at Box Farm, followed by a tour of this North Country Cheviot operation run by Charlotte Box.
The afternoon concludes with a trip to Edwards Wool Mill to see how they turn your fleece into gorgeous batts, roving, or finished yarn for your own value-added products or to sell to other artists and crafters! For more info contact Shon or Cathy. Or to purchase tickets go to
